As a highly experienced senior executive, Dr. Mohammad brings exceptional leadership skills and visionary foresight to Homeward Bound Care.

Throughout his illustrious career, he has delivered sustainable performance, implemented complex governance and structural reforms, and built strong collaborative partnerships across the public, private and voluntary sectors.

For more than two decades, Dr. Mohammad served as the Director for Equalities, Community Cohesion and Community Safety at Birmingham City Council, where he also developed a strong background in the health and social care sector. Since then, he has advised a number of private care providers, including Elite Care Homes, where he was appointed as its Non-Executive Chair of Governance and Compliance.

Dr. Mohammed has also held distinguished positions in both academia and public service, of which his most notable appointment was Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Wales. He is currently the Director and Trustee of the Markfield Institute of Higher Education, and a member of the Shaikh Zayed Board for Islamic Studies, University of Cambridge.

He is Chair of the governing board for Bordesley Green Girls’ School & Sixth Form, and a member of the governing boards for the University of Wolverhampton and Birmingham City Council Schools Forum. Within the private sector, Dr. Mohammad founded Global Trading Enterprise (Turkiye), of which he is currently a Director to support humanitarian efforts in the country.
